Show older comments
hi, i want to use paralel port to control some instrument device. i already read help tutorial for configure this port. but why error result always appear when use comand: daqhwinfo ? and why "winio"-drivers not appear when open device manager non plug and play device (i already use show hidden devices)? i use HP laptop with serial and parallel port installed, windows XP, matlab R2006a, and log in as a administrator.

What error shows up when you use daqhwinfo ?
daqhwinfo is part of the Data Acquisition Toolkit. Do you have that toolkit installed and licensed?

To cross-check: do you happen to be using the 64 bit version of XP? The parallel ports are only supported on the 32 bit version of XP.
I suggest that you discuss this matter with Mathworks Support as an "installation issue" (there is free support for insallation issues.)
I do not have the windows experience to know about parallel port issues (other than to know that they can be difficult to solve.)
