What happens if you run the code below?
filename = 'your_m_file.m';
clc,disp(reshape(setdiff(double(unique(fileread(filename))),1:127),[],1))
(This code will display all special characters and may give you a hint what unsupported character this might be.)

This error occurs when you are trying to publish a MATLAB script that contains characters that are not valid in XML 1.0 standard.
To resolve this error, you will need to identify the characters that are causing the issue and remove or replace them with a valid one.
