How to get value from axes?

Hello!
Is there any specific function to get values from axes in GUI Matlab? For example, we can get value from Edit:
n = str2double( get(handles.edit1,'string') );

Kate - please clarify what you mean by to get values from axes in GUI Matlab. You can view the list of property name and value pairs by running the following
get(handles.axes1)
where axes1 is assumed to be an axes in your GUI. If you know the property you wish to extract, then you could just do (for example)
get(handles.axes1,'XColor')
