How to form the beampattern using MATLAB? Which toolbox can be used for this purpose?

I don't know that you'd need any toolbox to create the pattern, though the Image Processing Toolbox may come in useful depending on what you want to do with the pattern. What's the equation for it?

I want to view the beampattern as the performance measure in my work "Adaptive Array Beamforming".In my reference paper, no equation is mentioned for this calculation.please suggest some ideas..

The Phased Array System Toolbox enables you to model arrays both during transmit and receive.
