i want to see the correlation between monsoon precipitation and nino3.4 .i use crosscorr and xcorr function, but they are showing completely different results. can anyone guide me which is best for my problem and how to interpret it???Thanks

i want to see the correlation between monsoon precipitation and nino3.4 .i use crosscorr and xcorr function, but they are showing completely different results (crosscorr value is -0.5253 and xcorr is 0.9923). can anyone guide me which is best for my problem and how to interpret it??? Thanks
