why MATLAB tool boxes are not downloading on my laptop?

my laptop is running windows 8.1(64 BIT) . I have downloaded 2014a from your website . After downloading around 20% it is stopped ie not progressing forward . But on the window it is showing download in progress.

Sometimes the download are to huge and take lots of time to donwload. I have waited for a toolbox to be downloaded for up to 6 hours!!! Try overnight download...

1. Do you have adequate space on your drive?

2. Do you have a fast internet connection? If you are using wi-fi to connect, it might help to use a hard ethernet cable while you are doing the download. I've found that this often greatly improves download speed. It might also enable you to finish the download before there is a problem that it trips over.

3. When all else fails, consider prayer. Admittedly, I have found that it never seems to help me, and in fact, it may just give your computer illusions of grandeur. Do we REALLY need/want a computer with that? :)

Personally, I'd try the hard ethernet line for your download.
