Errors when starting R2015a mdce on Ubuntu 14.04.2

Hi, when I start mdce (sudo ./mdce start), I get these errors:
libGL error: failed to open drm device: No such file or directory libGL error: failed to load driver: i965
I have found a post suggesting that I need to install libgl1-mesa-dri:i386, another suggesting I symlink libstdc++.so.6
From everything I've read and understood, this is related to a graphics driver problem. Which seems offside to me - I have installed MDCS on a headless VM. Why would I need graphics drivers?

I would suggest contacting MathWorks Technical Support to help resolve any installation problems you might be facing.
