Why isn't this guide working?

I have gone through over 100 links to get help on how to add a simple image (named image.jpg) into my matlab gui using guide and all of them have failed. Why is the link below failing? I'm having issues with what I actually have to copy and paste into the program.

I guess you went to the wrong 100 web sites. You should have come only here to Answers on the official Mathworks website to get the most authoritative answers. Anyway, that code looks like it should work, though it's not very general or robust (that's an understatement).

Since you forgot to attach your m-file and fig file, and the posted sample code should work (if you have the image in the specified folder), then we can't definitively say why your code did not work. Is your image actually where it said it was? Was there any error message? Attach your code if you want real help.
