Is it possible to generate a chirp with frequency dependence of f(t) = 1/t^2?

2 Comments

A ‘chirp’ is defined as frequency varying as a function of time, f(t).
How would you define a 1/f² chirp?
Thank you for catching that nonsense, the question has been updated.

Not necessarily nonsense, since instrument (thermal) and other noise has a 1/f or 1/f² characteristic.
This might do what you want, but it’s not very interesting:
t = linspace(0.1*pi, 20*pi, 1000);
f = sin(1./(t.^2));
figure(1)
spectrogram(f)
Experiment with it to get the result you want.
