Symmetry in Delaunay meshing

Dear all,

in an iterative algorithm calculating the plain stress distribution in every step, I get asymmetric Delaunay meshes - and therefore asymmetric stress distributions - even for symmetric objects. Is there a way to force the mesh to be symmetric, or use a different meshing technique that does not have this problem?
