Detect traffic to and from an IP adress on Ethernet

Hello to all,
I am trying to detect if traffic to and from a certain IP address which I know is taking place on Ethernet. More precisely, I am trying to trigger an event in Matlab only if traffic to or from another IP has been made. Best regards, Ion
