quadprog is hanging on my machine, while not on another machine (that I dont have regular access to)

Hi,

When I run quadprog (with only equality constraints) on my (RHEL, R2014b) machine it hangs. The memory usage is 8-10GB while my machine has 45 GB.

When I run the same code on a different (Ubuntu, R2014a) machine (that I don't have regular access to), the memory usage is ~20GB, and quadprog completes after 5-10 minutes.

I am clueless here, didn't find any hint about this issues around the web. Anyone knows how to address this issue?
