Configire 'local' to run on more than 4 workers
Show older comments
Dear all, I desperately need your advice of how to manage my 'local' configuration to work on more than 4 workers?
I think 4 is the default number and when I try to create another configuration with no inputs at fields 'Max # of workers that ...' and 'Min # of workers ...', it still does not allow to use any # of workers more than default value.
Thanks a lot in advance!!!

What version of MATLAB are you running? In R2011b the local scheduler supports up to 12 workers. I think some earlier versions only supported 4 workers.

4, then 8, now 12.

@Tatiana, given what you are seeing, I think that it was probably 4 in R2008b. It should be in the documentation. As I do not have R2008b installed anywhere, it is hard for me to check.

The release notes for R2009a say: "Number of Local Workers Increased to Eight". So Daniel is correct, in R2008b it was 4...

Please note that in R2014a the limit on the number of local workers was removed. See the release notes.

Please make this a comment to my answer, and not an answer.
