Name Conflict Warning

Dear all,
When starting matlab R2010b, I see warning messages, one of which is shown as follows. I have many of this kind of messages with different file names, but don't understand why. Any suggestion to fix it will be greatly appreciated.
Warning: Function C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2010b\toolbox\local\ja\license.m has the same name as a MATLAB builtin. We suggest you rename the function to avoid a potential name conflict.

Warning: Function det has the same name as a MATLAB builtin. We suggest you rename the function to avoid a potential name conflict.
The issue at hand is I dont have a 'det' function throughout the code
The Warning firstly started showing up after I added another environment i.e. vlfeat library into matlab. Each time the Setup file of the library is executed this error shows up. Any help?

I would look at your path
path
as well as your matlab root
matlabroot
Have you added the directories twice?

Thanks.
My matlab root is C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2010b.
As to path, I don't remember exactly if I have added the matlab directories twice. Sorry. And It seems that there are no repetitive items in the path output.
A 67 page path is really long. I have a fair number of toolboxes and my default path only has 241 entries. What happens with
strfind(path, [matlabroot, '\toolbox\local\ja'])? For me ...\toolbox\local\ja is not on the path.

Thank you Daniel. The[matlabroot, '\toolbox\local\ja']) is on the path of my matlab. Also I ever worked with DIRART and added the corresponding paths, but didn't deleted those paths afterwards.... No other paths.

If this isn't causing any conflicts, find your startup.m file and add a clc; to it.

Thank you! This doesn't affect my work at this moment. It is just annoying...
