Error: Name is nonexistent or not a directory

Wen i type in following code
>>utilpath = fullfile(matlabroot, 'toolbox', 'imaq', 'imaqdemos', ... 'html', 'applications', 'laserTracking'); >> addpath(utilpath);
This is what i get. Warning: Name is nonexistent or not a directory: C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2007b\toolbox\imaq\imaqdemos\html\applications\laserTracking. > In path at 110 In addpath at 89
how can i go about it?

The path in my (R2010b) installation is:
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2010b\toolbox\imaq\imaqdemos\html\laserTracking
Maybe your directory "applications" is wrong?

Andreas i don't think its wrong i was trying out the laser tracking demo in the image acquisition toolbox and thats the exact directory given in there. could it be that i need to get the latest version of matlab? Because i can see that we have different versions.
So if you can confirm e.g. in the Windows Explorer that this directory is existing, it should be fine. At least for this reason, you do not need to upgrade.
Before I add suggestions, I also like to ask why do you try doing this at all? Just to run a demo? That should not be necessary.
Are you able to add the path interactively (menu File -> Set Path)?
i used the directory without the applications bit and it worked. Thanks Andreas

I dont have an applications directory either, try:
isdir ( utilpath )
to check if matlab recognises it as a directory
