How do I use mahalanobis in face recognition using PCA?

I've got a previous coding from mathworks file exchange on face recognition using PCA, but in the coding is still using euclidean distance to calculating and trained Comparing of all projected images projected from the test image. How do it if I want to change euclidean to mahalanobis?
