coast_line in OCTAVE

Hi every body, I'm trying to draw costline of a region, with my scatter of points in the ocean. All that I found is yapso, which is no more compatible since octave 3.0.1
Does any body know another package, and instructions to make my map?

This is a MATLAB related forum. Of course the solution in Octave might be interesting for MATLAB users also, if you e.g. compare the different implementations.
