import large amount of data from Matlab R2011a to Igor Pro - on mac

Hi all,
I use Matlab R2011a for my calculations+programing and then use Igor pro for data processing and plotting. Until a couple weeks ago, I used R2009 on a PC and I had no problem since Igor can import .mat data using MLLoader. But I upgraded to R2011a which uses 64-bit dynamic libraries. And as stated in the Igor help file:
"MLLoadWave requires 32-bit Matlab dynamic libraries. It does not work with 64-bit libraries. If you are running R2010b or later, in order to use MLLoadWave, you will need to find the /Applications/MATLAB/bin/maci folder from an older version of Matlab and put it on your hard disk. This will not interfere with your 64-bit Matlab."
And of course I do not see how I could get this folder. Then I thought I could use .xls files to export data to Igor Pro, but it is not possible with a mac. I could of course use .txt files but I have a lot of data to import continuously. And I also wish I could keep the names of my matlab variables when importing with Igor Pro.
Does anyone have an idea that could solve my problem?
Thanks a lot

If you have a license for the professional version of MATLAB (but probably not the student version), you should be able to download and (temporarily) install an older 32-bit version of MATLAB for the Mac. That would at least give you access to the bin/maci folder IGOR Pro seems to need.
