how remote press the "download" button (in the external mode control panel)?

Hi,

I'm generating a GUI for a model. And I need to change some parameters during the the external mode execution. But is not enough changing the value of the parameter, it must to press the download button in the external mode control panel. And I want to do this remotely (from GUI).
