Error - opening simulink .mdl results in a call to and the running of an alternate model...

1 view (last 30 days)
I have a simulink .ml file that I have been working on for the past couple of weeks. As of a few days ago when I open the desired .mdl file it also opens (and runs) a model that I was working on some months ago (this prior model employs a monte carlo estimation and the process ties up my pc for 10 minutes or so and crashes when stallled prematurely). The files do not appear to overshadow one another and have different file names..
I'm intrigued as to how a model might 'inherit' a link to an alternate model. There are no callbacks defined other than those anticipated.
Cheers

That's very strange - could you try opening your (desired) model in a text editor (like the MATLAB Editor) and do a string search for the name of the other model? Do you find it somehow referenced in the new model?

Hi Kaustubha,
It never occured to me to use a text editor.
Unfortunatly the search came up empty, but thanks for the suggestion!
As a last resort I ported everything to another pc and it seems to have resolved the issue..
Cheers!
