One plot with two different timescales, seperated by a break

Hello there,

I have a graph which has two different timescales, one is visible when I plot the graph from 0 to 5, the other when I plot if from 0 to 300. Of course I want to display both. The way I want to do this is by inserting a kind of 'break' halfway my figure. To the left of this break the data from 0 to 5 will be plotted, on the right the data from 5 to 300. Unfortunately I have no idea how to approach this issue, I've found functions to do classical break in my plot, but this just leaves out a part of the plot (which is not necessary) and doesn't allow me to choose different scales for the left and right part... I hope it's clear this way..
