why this command does not work

"pause ()" i used this command in my function and i use this function in my gui and i acquire data from simulink when i start this function which contain "pause command" data from simulink stopped until i exit the function which contain "pause command" what can i do?

It is not clear, how you are acquiring data from simulink and in which function you are calling pause().
Please explain your problem with neat details.

Try command:
To pause your code at a point try,
uiwait;
at the point where you want to resume execution of your code try,
uiresume;

So you do not want data from Simulink to stop until you exit function,you still want data to come,
Try ,
pause on;
pause(n) % n is n.o seconds

when i use pause() i can get data from simulink but the other function contain pause command stopped until i exit simulink
