Solving Symbolic Equations and maximizing a function

3 views (last 30 days)
Sorry, given that this is too long and answer to each step gives a number of solutions to the next step, I will post the problems one at a time and progressively keep working and post when I am absolutely stuck. Thanks and sorry about it. ps- I cant seem to be able to delete the post. Can someone with access pls do it for me? Thank you
Oh great - that deleted the first question!

If you are trying to solve a linear programming problem, howw about using linprog and solving it in the numerical world?

I have alpha1^2 and alpha3^2 in the maximizing function (LD) and the constraint is a linear function of alpha1, alpha2 and alpha3. Can I still solve it with linprog? Thanks
