how to do the sampling in matlab of data which are continous in time.

sampling can be done to continous signal ,the signal after sampling can be given to discrete wavelet transforms for the further processing.how to find the energies of the function over the two cycle windows which are moving. please tell me and help me!!!!!!!!

Can you please explain what you mean by "two cycle windows"
TWO CYCLE WINDOW MEANS ,ONE CYCLE FREQUENCY=60Hz,time=1/60 ok. then in one cycle window we can find the no. samples going to ocuppied in the one cycle ,and from that we can find the values of detail coefficients.
I do not understand? The frequency tells you how many samples per cycle, so it is not clear why you would need two cycles?
SIR ,i want to find the value over some time periods,i want to check some values.
