Hi,
i have being trying in the last month to use External mode with My arduino mega 2560 not over cable but wireless, so knowning that the Wifi Shield from arduino is retired, i tried to use ESP8266 but the Arduino Simulink support package doesn't allow that, so i'm trying now to use Bluetooth communication over Serial to do that but the problem i'm encountring now is that i can upload the code using Arduino IDE and Simulink to my arduino but the external mode doesn't work.
Because simulink uses a certain TCP/IP protocol to talk with arduino in external mode and there is no informations about it in the net, so i'm in a point to starting to lose hope about my project. I'm building a robot and i don't want the cable to be there during the simulation.
if there is a solution to my problem or any other possibility that i can use to have a wireless external mode it will be a great help for me and my project.
my regards
Amine

Tahnk you for your answer, but that doesn't solve my problem, that doesn't let me use wireless External mode.
That just help you use WiFi with esp8266
and in that post even the use of Wifi didn't work for the guy

I'm also facing this problem. Someone from simulink hardware support team solve this issue. Wireless external using esp8266 wass there before 2018 version but no one has ever succeeded doing it that I know of.
