Linux Simulink Window

Hi Everyone, I running a Student Licence Matlab 2010a on my Linux Ubuntu 64bit System. Everything is working fine so far until the Simulink Model Window looks some kind of, lets say strange. There are no lines with shortcuts like in the Windows Version. Am I too stupid to find the right preferences? I would describe the look as some kind of rough linux shell window. Are there any Possibilities too change the Look?
Thank you in advance.
greets
Manu

As far as I know, the Simulink Editor in Linux is pretty minimalistic. Someone on the Simulink Editor team, or Tech Support, may be able to give a more authoritative answer; but my best best is that there is no way to improve the look currently.
However, note that all Simulink functionality present in Windows is also present on Linux. You will need to use the drop-down menus (or keyboard shortcuts) to perform operations however (on Windows, most common operations are presented as a tool-strip).
