Error in executing of Console application (.exe) on deployed system

I want to develop Window standalone applications (.exe) which contains a function f(x,y).and i also want to do double integration of function.for example
syms x y
F=f(x,y)
P=quad2d (F,xmin,xmax,ymin,ymax);
I am facing a problem with console applications (.exe) which i have developed using Deployment tool of MCR version 7.17 (R2012a).when it was double clicked, it takes input parameters as per my M file but it is closing by showing error:
Error in line 27
MATLAB :< undefined function>
As per my matlab code, i have defined variable on line 27. syms x y thats showing error.i don,t know why (syms x y) this shows error.

If the function is known in advance, at the time you compile, then you could create the symbolic function then, and use matlabFunction to write the MATLAB code to a .m file.
