How to add a string to a popup-menu using a GUI?

I need to add another string to a popup-menu button. Im using the function 'strcat' , but it adds the new string to all existing string and i want it to add only in a new line. What function i have to use?

use strvcat or char or {}

a='you';b='are';c='crazy'
s=char(a,b,c)
set(handles.popupmenu1,'string',s)

or

s=strvcat(a,b,c)

or

 s={a,b,c}
