tick2ret-function, Error Message: "Expected input to be one of these types: double, timetable, table"

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum so thanks in advance for helping me out! I have the following problem: I want to use the tick2ret-function in MatLab on a Table of Prices I have collected. Unfortunately I get the error message mentioned above.

Can someone help me out with this?

It seems that the stored values in that table are not of type double. How are you saving them? Try to convert them to numeric format before doing so, here is a question about that.

In a nutshell:

1. Click your table in your workspace.
2. Check the type of data that is stored there.
3. If its something different from "double" and it should have a numerical value, convert it using the previous link.

One of your variables in variable #3 or later, is not numeric, and is probably a cell instead.
