MATLAB r2012a won't open in Lion nor Mountain Lion

Hello,

I've recently installed MATLAB R2012a on my OS X Lion (10.7) MacBook Pro and the problem is : The 'MATLAB' loading picture shows up, than disappears and nothing happens. In the meantime I upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) but the problem is the same, even though I re-installed XQuartz that was not initially included.

I have been trying to find support on several forums but none of them solved my problem. Does anyone know about it ?

I had no difficulty with R2012a on Lion on my MacBook Pro.

Mountain Lion does present problems.
