hi,
I am just going through a webinar now fra dec 2009 where they are using matlab2009b, and it seems that in this version of matlab, dataset arrays is included as a function within matlab, thats what they find when they search for 'data organization'. When I installed matlab 2017 a or b dont remember, somebody told me that dataset arrays are not included in the standard version of matlab. My question is: if I install matlab 2009 b now, will I be able to use dataset arrays like they did in the webinar from 2009,( without having an extra package?)
thnx

dataset arrays were introduced in Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox in release R2007a (when it was called Statistics Toolbox, it has since been renamed.) While dataset remains in this toolbox in release R2019b, we recommend using table (which was introduced in MATLAB in release R2013b) instead.

well my question was whether it is free to use dataset arrays in matlab2009b. because it seemed from what I saw the person doing in one webinar from 2009 that it is possible to use dataset arrays though u dont have them as a toolbox ; they found it by clicking the function button => 'data organization'

No, not unless it was some free third party software. "dataset" was part of the Statistics toolbox. Note that the Statistics toolbox is one that is included in the Student Suite bundle.
