Discrete Dynamical System plotting

Is there any specific way to compute phase portraits and/or cobweb plots for discrete dynamical systems?

take for instance systems like,

x(n+1) = ax(n)+u

OR

x(n+1)=ax(n)+by(n)

y(n+1)=cx(n)+dy(n)
