cost function evaluation options for sdo.evaluate
Show older comments
Good afternoon,
I have developed an ecosystem model on MATLAB (I'm not using Simulink). The model is made up of several functions that are all contained in one folder. In order to run the model, I also need to have access to the folders containing the MATLAB data files. These are the data needed to "force" the model.
I'm currently trying to set up a sensitivty analysis to identify the important parameters and then optimize my model based on the results of the sensitivity analysis. To speed up the simulations, I'm looking at using the Parallel Computing Toolbox. Since I'm not using Simulink, things can be a bit confusing. I have some questions regarding the cost function evaluation options for sdo.evaluate
1) What should I include exactly in the model dependencies?Should I list all the functions and data files in the files dependencies? And should I include all the folders in the path to dependencies?
2) Since I'm not using Simulink, what model name should I include in opt.EvaluatedModel?
Many thanks,
Virginie

I think, Simulink Design Optimiztion works on Simulink Models(thats what the model refers to in the documentation and not the mathematical model you would have developed), and the API's or functions of SDO can be used on Simulink Models and not on MATLAB code. Alternatively, is it possible for you to create a Simulink model? You can call in exisiting MATLAB code in Simulink Models using MATLAB Function block(to reduce the effort of recoding your MATLAB algorithms in Simulink)
