How to find the max peak of each cycle after crossing threshold value for non periodic signals

Do you have access to the signal toolbox? In case you have access, you could try the findpeaks function

Using findpeaks it is giving all the peaks within a cycle, but I want 1 max peak for 1 cycle. In figure between 7 to 7.5 you can see a single cycle has two peaks, but I want the max peak among them.

So, can you please help.

How do you define a cycle?

Here, I am defining cycle as, the curves between staring and ending to threshold value as shown in figure. so, one cycle has 2 peaks.
