Is te zigzag scan function is removed in matlab 7.12.0(r2011a)???

i am doing lossy image compression using Discrete cosine transform and before the step of performing entropy encoding i must do a zigzag scan on the matrix but i cannot find that function in this version please help

zigzag() does not appear to ever have been part of any Mathworks-supplied toolbox.
There are several zigzag functions available in the MATLAB File Exchange.
