Can anyone suggest me a code to detect lanes and bands of DNA gel electrophoresis images?

I used fuzzy c means algorithm to segment the image. I just wanna know how to proceed further with regards to detecting the lanes and bands using gaussian function. since this is my final yr project, it would be indeed very helpful if you could revert to me asap. thanking you in advance.
