Access "steets-light" Map

When attempting to plot GPS data through the "geoplot" tool I was previously able to pull up and apply the "streets-light" map overlay / background. As of late, I am getting the error:

Warning: Unable to access the Internet, showing "missing" tile where 'streets-light' is unavailable. See Access Basemaps in MATLAB.

I have not had any known changes to my MATLAB installation or my connection to the internet. As I'm writing this, I'm using the same computer running MATLAB and submitting this question through the internet. Any thoughts on how to check / troubleshoot the MATLAB perceived internet connection as it applies to accessing the "geoplot" map overlay / backgrounds?

did you manage to solve the problem when you changed the proxy settings? I have the same problem, that's why I am asking.
