Can anyone clearly explain me how to enhance only region of interest in an image using directional morphological filtering?

Have you experimented around with bwmorph(), imopen(), imclose(), imerode(), and imdilate() to learn what effect they have on the image?

Yes sir,but don get an enhanced result, just get the result of those functions..also i need to enhance particularly some regions using the directional filter...Plz help me

Did you try imtophat(), and imbottomhat()? And they didn't work either? Well whoever told you that they would enhance the image anyway? Is there some reason to believe such a directional morphological filter will do any good? Maybe your image just isn't right for such filters. I don't know because you haven't shown them to us.
