how to find filter denominator coefficient 'a'?

i wish to use the function y = filter(b,a,X) to determine my filter output. i have tried using the .fda tool to calculate the filter coefficients but somehow it only shows me the value of the numerator coefficient b. how can i calculate denominator coefficient a?
