character recognition with perceptron and hopfield

Hi My name is Hasti. I am studing about neural network. I want a project(Programming, and not toolbox) about "*character recognition with perceptron and hopfield learning algorithm*". I want learn only 7 character (A,B,C,D,E,F) to net and test noisy characters (A,B,C,D,E,F) and other character with different handwritten in MATLAB.please help me in this case.I have only 5 days free time, and i am new in matlab. thank you
