if there is image in which one circle, one rectangle and one convex lens if there and i want to segment the part that contain convex one. how can i do this?? i

Sounds like they'd all be convex, just from the description of them. Where did you upload your image? Did you see my image segmentation tutorial: http://blogs.mathworks.com/pick/2009/11/06/segmenting-coinsa-tutorial-on-blob-analysis/, just one of a few tutorials in my File Exchange
What I'd do is to call regionprops and ask for the "Solidity" which will be 1 for convex objects. There are other ways too, but that is probably the easiest way.

Link doesn't work. There is no way that I can see a mail attachment to some email in your Google mail account.

That one worked, but I don't see a rectangle, circle, and convex lens. I don't know how to get the ear but I'm sure there must be something on Vision Bib Search it. I'm sure it would help if you knew that the view of the head would be the same or the ear would be in the same location.
