Set printer properties for plot

I have a GUI that generates plot figures. Is there any way to specify the default printer properties in code? Specifically I want to change the orientation to landscape, and adjust the margins so the plot takes up the whole piece of paper.

You can adjust these properties of the figure:

PaperUnits
PaperOrientation   -> landscape
PaperPosition
PaperPositionMode
PaperSize
PaperType

And the AXES' 'Position' property can be adjusted such that it fills the figure as wanted. E.g. using 'centimeters' as units allow to set the position absolutely also.
