It depends on your version of the Neural Network Toolbox. The current version is PATTERNET. The previous version was NEWPR.

Use the commands help, doc and type for details.

help nndata has several datasets you can practice with

help nndemos should also be checked out.

Your answer does not make sense to me. How do you define a recognition system?

Why does that exclude neural networks that perform classification and/or pattern recognition?
