how to create database for large dicom CT image in matfile and create it ID in new column after sift implemetation

Now i am doing my project regarding on image fusion between PET n CT image but before doing so i need to use david lowe sift implementation to find the best match in large database of ct image so for every single image of CT image i have 64 image for different slice..so i want to create database for dicom CT image in matfile since the image in high format so it will increase time computation. after that i need to add new column so that i can make an ID for the choosen slice CT image so that i can do next step which is image fusion easily. so anyone here has any idea to help me?? please i need it ASAP as i am doing my final yr project so the time is very limited.hope i can get good response
