How to reconstruct a 2D PET image using the attenuation map of this 2D image.

I need to reconstruct one 2D PET image using the attenuation map of this image that I have from a CT scanner.

PET transmission image + attenuation map from CT = PET image reconstructed

But I don't know the way to compute this operation.

Any help will be truly appreciated.

You would also need projection measurements of the activity map.
