How to reorder project shortcuts?

2 views (last 30 days)
I am trying to create several project shortcuts and would like to order them in a specific way. In the image below, I have 3 shortcuts that should be ordered: MIL, SIL, PIL. They are automatically ordered alphabetically, even if they are created in a different order. Is there a way to rearrrange them? I am using R2019a.

Hello,
It looks like there are not sorting settings. You can create more shortcut groups or you can add your files to Favorite commands, it's super cool as you can open them with Alt + Button.

Favourites are indeed useful for an individual, but from my understanding cannot be shared like a project's shortcuts can.

You can manually reorder the favorites layouts (not sure about projects) in a configuration xml file:
In Windows: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2020a\favorite_commands_toolset_favorite_commands_gallery.xml
The unique IDs are defined in the same folder in a separate file: FavoriteCommands.xml
