I need "contour algorithm to detect closed boundaries of objects of noisy images"

Hi everyone.
Does exist any "contour algorithm to detect closed boundaries of objects" on noisy images?
I want to implement rectangle deteciton base on contour algorithm and Haugth transform.
But I don't find details about contour alg.
Any help?
