Is it possible to obtain (external access) the poppet stroke of the cartridge valve?
I am thinking of a sort of additional output of the existing block 'Cartridge Valve Insert with Conical Seat'.

If you use the Hydraulic Cartridge Valve Actuator block, it outputs the poppet displacement as a physical signal. Does that answer your question? If not, can you clarify what you mean?

Thanks for your answer.
But actually, I am thinking of a sort of additional output of the existing block 'Cartridge Valve Insert with Conical Seat'. I don't want to take the detout of re-engineering the existing block (I am lazy :-)

No it isn't. However, if you look at the documentation (http://www.mathworks.com/help/releases/R2011a/toolbox/physmod/hydro/ref/cartridgevalveinsertwithconicalseat.html), you can see that the block is made of the Hydraulic Cartridge Valve Actuator block combined with the Poppet Valve block. The physical signal that comes out of the Hydraulic Cartridge Valve Actuator and is used as a physical signal input to the Poppet Valve is the poppet stroke. You should therefore be able to recreate your own version of the block with this additional output.
