how to make the data collection result in a file?

these are my datas yy and X..i arranged in a form of data1=[yy;X];.. now i want to make a data1 result in a matlab file.

save datafile data1

will write a .mat file DATAFILE.MAT w/ the desired array. use LOAD to retrieve it.
