How can I make Zaxis in log scale while I am plotting three coulm vecotrs in 2D where third coulm is just color intensity?

Hello,
Recently I have a set of data consists of three columns. Let's say three columns are x,y,z. I want to plot x and y on 2D with Z by varying color. So at the end I will have color patch on 2D. I have successfully done it with the help from forum.
tri = delaunay(x(:),y(:));
h=trisurf(tri,x(:),y(:),z(:),'edgecolor','none');
colorbar
Now I have a 2D colormap. But x,y,z all are in linear scale. To see interesting feature I must have to plot with z in 'log' scale. It's not like log10(z). To do same for x and y axes is very simple:
set(gca,'Xscale','log'); % to plot x axis in log scale
set(gca,'Yscale','log'); % to plot y axis in log scale
But set(gca,'Zscale','log') does not help to get color in log scale. How can I plot z-axis in log scale?
Looking forward to your answer...
Regards, Kaushik
